While you can always click on the X on the upper right corner of the tab bar, why do that when you can do the keyboard shortcut instead? This Chrome shortcut instantly closes the active tab that is opened and you are looking at. Mac: ⌘ + Option + Right arrow (Next open tab) and ⌘ + Option + Left arrow (Previous open tab) Windows: Ctrl + PgDn (Next open tab) or Ctrl + PgUp (Previous open tab) Instead of clicking on each to see what is on it, do the keyboard shortcuts to jump between all of the tabs you have opened. ![]() If you have a habit of having multiple tabs this shortcut is for you. ![]() This shortcut lets you reopen the last tab that you closed – great for those times when you accidentally close a tab and you want to recover it. Instead of pressing the plus sign, you can do the keyboard command to open a new tab
